On December 31, 2024, the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and other four ministries jointly issued the Notice on Publishing the Pilot List of Carbon Footprint Marking and Certification of Products, requiring the provincial market supervision departments at the pilot sites to work together with the ecological environment, development and reform. We should carefully organize and carry out the pilot work according to the pilot work plan, continuously improve the working mechanism and supporting policies, timely summarize the effective practices and typical cases of the pilot work, promote the effectiveness of the pilot work, and accumulate experience for the nationwide promotion and application of product carbon footprint certification. The carbon footprint certification of
cement products will be piloted in Yinchuan, Ningxia. In
the pilot work, the certification body selected by the General Administration of Market Supervision is selected as the main body of certification implementation, and the pilot certification is carried out according to the unified certification implementation rules, and the certified products are affixed with the unified certification logo. The provincial market supervision departments where the pilot products are located, together with the relevant departments, will continue to improve the working mechanism and support policies, promote the effectiveness of the pilot work, and timely summarize and report the effective practices, advanced models and typical cases of the pilot work. After the expiration of the
pilot period, the provincial market supervision department where the pilot products are located shall submit a summary report of the pilot to the General Administration of Market Supervision. The General Administration of Market Supervision, together with relevant departments, organizes evaluations, encourages and supports outstanding achievements, summarizes and refines successful experiences and typical cases, and promotes them nationwide.
