It has received 151 million Australian yuan from the Australian government and 20 million Australian yuan from the New South Wales government. The plant
is provided by Shangmai New Energy founded by Shi Zhengrong in 2014, with an initial annual output of 300 MW and later expanded to 500 MW for Australia and the international market. After completion, it will be the largest component plant in Australia and the only one in New South Wales. In addition, Energus, a subsidiary of Shangmai New Energy, plans to build a solar polysilicon plant with an annual output of 50000 tons.
