On August 6, the China Public Service Platform for Tendering and Bidding issued a tender announcement for the construction of photovoltaic projects in the North Courtyard of the Palace Museum (the first bid section ) . The source of funds for the project is 2.9297 million yuan of state-owned funds, and the tenderer is Shanghai Baoye Group Co., Ltd. The total installed capacity of the project
is 338.94 kw, the estimated contract price is 2.9297 million yuan, the equivalent unit price is 8.644 yuan/W, the construction period is 135 days, and the bidding scope includes the secondary deepening design, supply and installation of the photovoltaic system . The northern courtyard of
the Palace Museum, more than 30 kilometers away from the Palace Museum, was officially launched in 2023 with a total investment of 2.1 billion yuan and is expected to be completed in October 2025, aiming at solving the problems of cultural relics protection and display, inheriting cultural relics restoration techniques and displaying non-relics. After completion, it will expand the number of cultural relics displayed, enhance the level of display, and form a cultural relics restoration and protection center, which is expected to receive 3 million visitors annually.
