On November 27, the power supply project of Qinghai Hainan Clean Energy Delivery Base started in Xining . The construction of the project is under the responsibility of the State Power Investment Group Yellow River Upstream Hydropower Development Co., Ltd.
It is reported that the base is the largest new energy installation scale and the highest proportion of green electricity in the country. The total investment of the
project is nearly 73 billion yuan , and the total scale of planned power supply is 19.44 million kilowatts . It covers 6 million kilowatts of wind power, 9.6 million kilowatts of photovoltaic power (9.6 GW), 2.64 million kilowatts of supporting coal-fired power and 1.2 million kilowatts/4 hours of electrochemical energy storage . It is directly transmitted to Guangdong through a UHVDC transmission channel with a capacity of 8 million kilowatts.
