And we know that for every order of magnitude increase in purity, the cost and price basically increase by an order of magnitude. It is against this background that in 2006 and 2007, we entered the production of the entire photovoltaic raw material-a link of polysilicon. After going in for the purity of six nines, a 1,000-ton production line was set up. Six 9s, in our imagination, is to increase the purity of two 9s on the basis of ensuring chemical purity. At that time, after production, it met the needs of simple and basic solar polysilicon.
After more than ten years, the output has gone from 1000 tons to 10000 tons, to 100000 tons, to the level of millions of tons. Then the technology has been iterated again and again to the eighth generation, the purity has reached the terrible purity of 11 nines, and the cost has reached an order of magnitude below the original production cost-1 million a ton, 100,000 yuan a ton, and now 30,000 yuan a ton. Increase the purity from two 9s to 11 9s, increase the purity to more than 9 orders of magnitude, and then reduce the cost to the original, if it is a million production cost, reduce to 3%.
