Our photovoltaic industry should take active action to make internal adjustments and solve the involution dilemma.
I would like to talk about five aspects: First, from competition to competition and cooperation, we should strengthen industry self-discipline. Competition can be good or bad. Good competition creates value, while vicious competition destroys value. Trade associations should put self-discipline in the first place, so that member enterprises can form a self-discipline atmosphere.
Second, from decentralization to alliance, we should improve industry concentration. Enterprises should not only be good at creating resources, but also have the ability to integrate resources, and even the ability to integrate is stronger than ability to create.
Third, from reducing output to reducing production capacity, we should address both the symptoms and the root causes. The existing production capacity of PV modules is 1200 GW, while the global demand is only about 600 GW. Limiting production can stabilize prices, maintain efficiency, and win space for eliminating backward production capacity and rationally regulating advanced production capacity.
Fourth, raise the pricing level from volume cost and profit to price cost and profit. Profit in operation = sales volume * price-cost. Only by raising price and value can enterprises develop healthily.
Finally, from the Red Sea to the Blue Sea, we should rely on innovation to enhance the value of the "four modernizations". Enterprises need to combine their own characteristics and scenarios, enhance their core competitiveness through innovation, and find a new path in the highly competitive market.
