On July 16, Vanda RE, a renewable energy developer in Singapore, announced the signing of a framework supply agreement with Ningde Times to purchase up to 2.2G Wh of battery energy storage systems . According to the agreement, Ningde Times Ningwang will provide a total of 2.2G Wh battery energy storage system in batches for Vanda RE's integrated optical storage project in Riau Islands, Indonesia.
It is noteworthy that 2.2GWh is one of the largest single energy storage orders in Southeast Asia in recent years, and is also the first super-large optical storage matching order landed in Indonesia in Ningde era.
This cooperation means that the Southeast Asia strategy of Ningde era has entered the landing stage from the layout, laying the foundation for the first large-scale project for its deep cultivation of the Southeast Asian market.
Ningde Times and Vanda RE signed a framework agreement
. Vanda RE is a joint venture between Gur Gurīn Energy of Singapore and Gentari of Petronas. The project of purchasing battery energy storage system is located in Riau Islands, Indonesia. The project plans to build 2G W photovoltaic power station and 4.4 GWh energy storage system simultaneously. It is expected to become one of the largest optical storage integration projects in Southeast Asia after completion.
At present, the Singapore Energy Market Authority (EMA) has given conditional approval to the project and the power export plan in 2024, and the overall project is expected to be completed in 2027. In addition, as the core supplier of the project energy storage system, Ningde Times will cooperate with photovoltaic module suppliers Longji Green Energy and Trina Solar Energy . Jointly promote the landing of this super-large project.
The 2.2G Wh energy storage order is the key layout for Ningde Times to expand the Southeast Asian market.
In addition, on June 29, Ningde Times officially started its joint venture battery factory project in Indonesia, which is the largest battery factory in Southeast Asia jointly built by Ningde Times and local enterprises. The initial production capacity of the project is 6.9 GWh, which is expected to be completed and put into operation by the end of 2026, just matching the completion time of the project in 2027. In addition, the long-term plan of the production line is to expand production to 15GWh in stages, which can fully cover the supply demand of the 2.2G Wh order.
