of July 14, a fire broke out at Sanyuan Energy Company in Xiaogang District, Kaohsiung, Taiwan. Smoke and explosions were heard at the scene. The fire
department said that after receiving the report at 5 o'clock, 46 vehicles and 91 people were dispatched to rescue, and robots were used to extinguish the fire. The accident caused minor injuries to 12 employees and 3 firefighters, all of whom were sent to hospital.
It is reported that the factory, a subsidiary of Taiwan Cement Group, is the first lithium battery super factory in Taiwan. It used to be the lithium battery factory with the highest technical specifications (nickel ternary system), the largest capacity (1.8GW/year) and the best automation.
At present, the cause of the fire and the loss are still under investigation.
