On June 27, Sohail Khan, Deputy Secretary-General of the Secretariat of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, and his delegation entered Li'ao Village, Ningbo, the first photovoltaic building integrated "photovoltaic village" in China. In 2014,
the village took the lead in promoting this model in the whole village. Now, the annual power generation of the whole village is about 600,000 degrees, and the annual collective income of the village is over 600,000 yuan. The villagers share the income, enjoy the "sunshine dividend", improve the quality of life, attract many "new villagers", and have become a provincial 3A scenic spot.
Sohail Khan highly approved of the village model and regretted that he could not bring it back to his country immediately. The Li'ao Village model provides a vivid case for SCO energy cooperation. This model forms a closed-loop of "energy production-intelligent management-scenario application", which is of great significance to areas with abundant sunshine resources but weak power infrastructure, and the global replication path is gradually becoming clear.
It is reported that at the meeting of energy ministers of the SCO, which opened the day before, Chinese and foreign enterprises signed 25 photovoltaic new energy projects with a total amount of about 40 billion yuan and a total installed capacity of 12 GW.
