On November 3, Lujiazui announced that the company and its two holding subsidiaries, together with five units headed by Jiangsu Sugang Group Co., Ltd. (Hereinafter referred to as Sugang Group), had filed a civil lawsuit with Jiangsu Provincial Higher People's Court (Jiangsu Provincial Higher Court) for infringement disputes over soil pollution, demanding compensation of 10.44 billion yuan from Sugang Group. The remaining four defendants are jointly and severally liable.
On November 8, Shanghai Lujiazui Company disclosed that 14 of the 17 pieces of land purchased seven years ago had major pollution, and the pollution area and pollution level far exceeded the pollution situation disclosed when the land was listed for sale. At present, Jiangsu Sugang and others have been sued in court, claiming 10 billion yuan, and the Jiangsu Provincial Higher People's Court has filed a case.

Finally, it is processed into cement products to avoid secondary pollution.
"Cement kiln co-disposal of contaminated soil has obvious advantages." An industry expert told China Cement Network that the contaminated soil should be identified first to determine whether it belongs to hazardous waste, but according to the clues and information of the "poisonous land" in Suzhou, the land belonged to Sugang Group before, and the probability of pollution source was the crude benzene workshop and tar production workshop of the original coking plant of Sugang Group. This kind of contaminated soil basically belongs to general solid waste.
"General solid waste, cement plant co-disposal can be handled, even hazardous waste, cement enterprises with relevant qualifications can also be handled." Experts in the industry said.
