On November 1, the Silicon Branch of China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association announced the latest price of solar-grade polysilicon, with the largest drop of 19.23% for all categories of silicon materials. Except for N-type materials, the prices of other categories have fallen back to "6".

Among them,

the average transaction price of N-type materials was 75,200 yuan/ton , a decrease of 19.23% ; The average transaction price of

single crystal was 69 thousand and 700 yuan/ton , or 15.10% ; The average transaction price of

single crystal dense materials was 67 thousand and 900 yuan/ton , or 15.23% ; The average transaction price of

single crystal cauliflower was 65 thousand yuan/ton , or 16.02% .

Last week (October 25), Silicon Branch suspended the weekly polysilicon price release. Silicon Branch said that due to the lack of new transaction information in the week's survey, although the price has shown a downward trend. However, there are still differences on the specific transaction price, basically no new orders have been signed, and the transaction price quoted in the previous week has been unable to reflect the actual situation of the current market, so the announcement of polysilicon price will be suspended this week, and the market transaction price will be clarified after the actual transaction.

According to its statement, last week, only a few silicon enterprises traded, five leading enterprises did not sign new orders, some second-and third-tier enterprises had a certain degree of price loosening, some of them adjusted the price of pre-signed orders, the adjustment range was about 10 yuan/kg.

Unexpectedly, this week's direct drop was nearly 20%.

In addition, the price of silicon wafers in the Silicon Branch has been lowered to 2.4-2.5 yuan per wafer last week, reaching the break-even point of most silicon wafer enterprises, and some manufacturers are even facing losses. Restricted by the sharp decline in the price acceptance ability of downstream enterprises, the decline in the transaction price of silicon materials is an inevitable trend. Coupled with the general decline in the operating rate of silicon wafers and batteries, the demand for silicon materials has declined rapidly, even if the price falls, it may not be able to stimulate demand.

Perhaps this means that the price of silicon materials will continue to decline.
