Huanggang City organized a joint law enforcement action on sand mining management in the main stream of the Yangtze River

In order to implement the relevant requirements of the Ministry of Water Resources, the Yangtze River Commission and the Provincial Water Resources Department on the management and safety and stability of river sand mining during the National "Two Sessions", and to maintain the stable and controllable management order of river sand mining, on March 7, the sand pipe team of Hubei Province conducted a key investigation on the main stream of the Yangtze River in Huangmei County, and launched a joint law enforcement action code-named "Spring Thunder".

In this joint operation, a total of 23 law enforcement officers and one law enforcement boat were dispatched, with a voyage mileage of about 80 kilometers. During the operation, Huangmei County Water Administration Supervision Brigade coordinated the forces of Changhang Public Security and Huangmei Maritime Affairs to actively participate in the operation, strictly implemented the safety precautions for water law enforcement, and unified the deployment of the operation in accordance with the action plan. Inspection, inspection and investigation were carried out in sensitive and key waters such as river branches, centralized berthing points for ships and anchorages. Ships berthed in berthing points and anchorages along the river were investigated one by one. Ships passing through the river area were boarded and inspected, and key and sensitive waters were carefully inspected.

According to the investigation, Huangmei County Water Administration Supervision Brigade and relevant functional departments conscientiously fulfilled their management responsibilities, maintained a normal, high-pressure and comprehensive crackdown on illegal sand mining, and effectively rectified the phenomenon of illegal sand mining in rivers. Next, Huangmei County Water Administration Supervision Brigade will take this special action as an opportunity to consolidate the responsibility of river sand mining management, improve the mechanism of joint prevention and co-governance, strengthen daily inspection and supervision, and maintain the order of river sand mining management in the county.
