On June 6, Tongwei shares issued a notice. Tongwei Solar Energy Technology Co., Ltd. , a wholly-owned subsidiary of the company, intends to sign the Agreement on Investment Cooperation of Solar Photovoltaic Industry Projects with the People's Government of Shuangliu District, Chengdu. Cooperation was reached on the company's investment in the construction of an annual output of 25 GW solar cells and 20 GW photovoltaic modules project in Shuangliu District, Chengdu. The total investment of
the project is planned to be 10.5 billion yuan , covering an area of about 1400 mu. It will be constructed in two phases, of which the first phase is a battery project with an annual output of 25 GW, with an estimated fixed assets investment of 7.5 billion yuan. It is expected to be completed and put into operation in 2024; The second phase is a project with an annual output of 20GW components, with an estimated fixed assets investment of 3 billion yuan, which is planned to be completed and put into operation in 2025.
Tongwei said that the investment will effectively guarantee the steady development of the company's photovoltaic business, in line with the company's development strategy of "building a world-class clean energy enterprise".
