Recently, the promotion meeting of river sand mining management in Lu'an City, Anhui Province was held. At the meeting, the Municipal Water Conservancy Bureau reported the management of river sand mining in the whole city in 2023, and the participants jointly studied the revised Opinions of the Office of the People's Government of Lu'an City on Strengthening the Management of Sand and Stone Resources in the whole city. Some counties and districts exchanged speeches on the management of river sand and gravel, such as the Notice on the Standardization Construction of River Sand and Gravel Mining Site in Lu'an City (Trial Implementation).
The meeting pointed out that the Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Government attach great importance to the work of sand mining in rivers. The management of sand mining in rivers is related to the safety of rivers and lakes and ecological safety, and is also the focus of ecological environment supervision. It is necessary to further consolidate the management responsibility, do a good job in the post-evaluation of sand mining planning, and meet the on-site survey and evaluation of provincial departments.
