With the end of the mining ban period, the rivers in the permitted mining areas of Chongqing have resumed mining activities one after another. In order to understand and grasp the mining and management situation of the licensed mining area after the lifting of the ban, and to strengthen supervision and guidance in time, the River Department of the Municipal Water Conservancy Bureau and the Municipal River Affairs Center jointly carried out unannounced visits to the river licensed mining area from September 4 to 5, and conducted unannounced visits to the main stream of the Yangtze River where the mining area is concentrated. The rivers with sand mining permits in the main stream of the Yangtze River
in Chongqing are concentrated in Fuling, Fengdu, Wanzhou and Yunyang districts and counties in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River. The undercover investigators boarded the ship to inspect seven mining areas, such as Changsha Dam and Nanzhu Dam, which are carrying out operations. They consulted the work records and supervision logs of the sand dredger on the spot, exchanged with the staff, platform companies and supervisors on the sand dredger, and put forward work requirements for the problems found in the inspection. First, the sand mining production units must strengthen the safety of production operations in flood season. Pay attention to the change of water level and flow rate in time, and do a good job in safety production and construction management; secondly, the supervisors should strengthen their duties and responsibilities, improve the supervision log, and report the problems found in time; thirdly, the platform company should strengthen the management of the sand dredger labor party to ensure that there is no "four excesses" in the mining process. During
the unannounced visit, the overall situation of sand mining was good, and no illegal sand mining was found. Next, the Municipal Water Conservancy Bureau will continue to maintain a normal high-pressure management and control situation, standardize the sand mining behavior of rivers, and ensure that the sand mining management order of rivers in critical periods and important nodes remains stable and controllable.
