In 2022, Uzbekistan Karshi Conch overcame the adverse effects of the global COVID-19 epidemic, the war between Russia and Ukraine, and the Federal Reserve's interest rate hike, and successfully ignited its operation, completing the annual production, marketing and efficiency targets 10 days ahead of schedule, becoming the first company of Conch Group to put into operation in the same year. At the same time, Conch Cement has become the first brand of cement in Uzbekistan and has been successfully listed in the government procurement list.

. Only when it is difficult can we show our courage and perseverance, and only when we are honed can we achieve success. Since the preparation and construction of Karshi Conch Project, the leaders of the Group and the joint-stock company have been highly concerned about the development of the project, and have successively come to the company's site to provide exploration guidance on self-construction, general plan optimization, mine development and engineering construction. All cadres and staff of Karshi Conch play the spirit of "being able to bear hardships and fight" to overcome many unfavorable factors, such as high temperature, poor infrastructure conditions and poor logistics operation. Facing the double test of epidemic situation and construction period, all cadres and staff face difficulties. After four years of unremitting struggle, Karshi Conch has gone from a barren land to a forest of buildings, from brick by brick to ignition operation. From the gap in the market to the entry of products into the first series of local brands, it has achieved the goal of putting into production and gaining results. At the beginning of the
project, the biggest problem restricting the development of the project is to submit for approval and handle warrants. Faced with the difficulties of fewer personnel, language barriers and unfamiliar approval procedures, the first batch of six project team members, based on their own, fully tapped their potential, formulated warrant processing plans, went to the government during the day, checked information at night, and conquered them one by one. A bottle of mineral water and a pancake are the standard configuration for the project team to go out, and the firm belief makes the difficulties nowhere to hide.
In order to reduce the investment cost, the working group went to all the substations around the project, coordinated the approval of the State Grid to change the production and power consumption, and finally reduced the access to the power station from 120 km to 32 km. Nothing is impossible to a willing heart. Within half a year, the project team has successfully obtained 21 important warrant approvals, such as construction permit, land approval of the main plant area, mining rights, environmental assessment, and cabinet order for construction while building, which has made the project successfully landed and sowed the seeds of hope for Conch in Central Asia. According to the actual situation of the site,
the company has successively optimized and adjusted the construction design of clay ore spots, belt corridors and fences, saving investment costs of about 15 million yuan. Before the
cement products were put on the market, the company carried out brand promotion in many ways and ways, held the first product promotion meeting of the company, and vigorously promoted through outdoor advertising, network listing, printing brochures and other ways, the influence of conch cement brand has been greatly enhanced, and conch cement has become the first series of Ukrainian cement brand. It is listed in the list of government procurement. Cement has been on the market for less than half a year, and its market share in Kashka-Darya has reached 86%. At the same time, it vigorously expanded the peripheral market, and cement sales radiated to 10 prefectures and cities in Ukraine, completing the annual sales plan 30 days ahead of schedule.
In the
face of the COVID-19 epidemic, Karshi Conch strictly implemented the deployment requirements of the Group and the Joint Stock Company for epidemic prevention and control, closely contacted local embassies and medical institutions, formulated emergency response plans for epidemic prevention and control, and adhered to the principle of giving priority to epidemic prevention. Promote project construction in a safe and orderly manner. Since the outbreak of the epidemic, we have adhered to strict control, strictly controlled the entry of people and vehicles into the factory, and achieved large closure and small isolation. The company actively planned and coordinated with the Ministry of Health and local hospitals to revaccinate the third dose of inactivated vaccine for 580 people at the project site. As the first Chinese-funded enterprise to revaccinate inactivated vaccine in Uzbekistan, the company was highly praised by the Embassy and provided effective protection for the orderly progress of the project.
At the same time, in order to do a good job in the construction of the company's safety system, the company has formulated and issued a variety of safety production management systems, such as the Compilation of Post Safety Production Responsibility System, and set up an emergency rescue team to organize emergency drills such as epidemic prevention and control, fire fighting, heatstroke and electric shock. Strengthen the safety education and training of the whole staff, and enhance the awareness of safety responsibility. Integrate the safety management of interested parties into the unified management of the company, organize and participate in regular safety meetings of interested parties, and create a management atmosphere of "production must be safe" in the company by carrying out quarterly safety standard examinations for all staff, setting up safety publicity classrooms, and making on-site safety signs.
To improve the personnel training system and achieve practical results
, the company firmly grasps the construction nodes and actively overcomes the difficulties of insufficient personnel and poor logistics transportation. For more than 600 kilograms of missing and damaged parts urgently needed on site, domestic employees are organized to play the role of "transportation team" and bring the urgently needed spare parts back to the company in time to meet the needs of equipment installation and commissioning. Under the circumstances that the main reducer of raw material mill, fluorescence analyzer, kiln body scanner, Schenck feeding coal powder scale and kiln feeding scale, carbon dioxide fire fighting system and other equipment manufacturers could not arrive at the scene, they exerted the spirit of assiduous study, ate at the scene at noon and afternoon, held the spirit of not solving the problem and not getting off work, repaired and changed overnight, digested the data independently, and completed the installation of the grid in 20 days. It took 15 days to complete the installation and delivery of the diagonal zipper, demonstrating the tenacious drive of the conch people to move forward more and more difficultly and "a drop of sweat falls eight petals" to ensure the smooth realization of the ignition goal.
The company strengthens school-enterprise cooperation and signs directional training agreements with Samarkand universities to provide strong human resources guarantee for the development of the company. On-site practice teaching promotes the improvement of job skills, organizes language workers, technology, electromechanical and other related professional students to participate in on-site installation, repair and other projects, and further improves the professional theoretical level and job skills of employees. Implement the reward mechanism of one-to-one apprenticeship under the contract system, strengthen the two-way training of daily language for Chinese and Ukrainian employees, formulate and issue learning manuals, select and commend monthly stars, stimulate the enthusiasm and initiative of employees in training and learning, and give full play to the role of "transmission and guidance" of Chinese employees.
According to the local cultural characteristics, Karshi Conch took the initiative to integrate into the local society and organized public welfare activities such as orphanage condolences, local enterprise get-togethers and thousands of people planting trees, which were highly praised by the local government. At the same time, focusing on strengthening communication with local governments, the company set up a special project coordination group to actively assist the government to seize livelihood projects, fulfill social responsibilities, and further enhance the company's social image. On December 26, 2022, the company was awarded the honorary title of Best Investor in California and the certificate of "Excellent and Standardized Employment Enterprise" issued by the Labor Bureau.
