Wang Mingjun stressed:

First, we must improve our political stance. River sand mining management is related to flood control safety, ecological safety and important infrastructure safety. All departments at all levels must attach great importance to it and take an iron hand to continuously consolidate the hard-won comprehensive regulation achievements of Xinyang City.

Second, we should standardize and orderly mining. Water safety, water resources, water environment, water ecology and river ecological management should be coordinated, the overall plan of river sand resources utilization should be formulated scientifically, and the coordinated exploitation of river sand resources in cross-county river reaches should be emphasized. At the same time, we should also draw inferences from each other, carry out in-depth investigation and rectification of problems, and establish a long-term mechanism to ensure early detection and disposal.

Third, we should strengthen duty. The 24-hour duty system should be strictly implemented, the duty log should be carefully kept, and the problems found on duty should be handed over in time. Fourth, strict supervision and supervision should be carried out, and serious accountability should be pursued for inadequate rectification and lagging progress, so as to ensure smooth flood discharge and ecological security in the Huaihe River Basin.
