On August 5, a Russian concrete mixer driver was exposed to surveillance when he was hit by a tank explosion while checking his vehicle. Surveillance showed that at the time of the accident, the car had just poured into the concrete, the driver climbed onto the roof to check the cover and tighten it, but the pressure cover suddenly exploded and rushed up, hitting the driver's head, the driver died on the spot. Authorities said they were investigating the cause of the incident.
Fire safety tips: 13 safety operation procedures
for concrete mixer truck 1. Before loading, check and remove the ash and slag in the tank and discharge pipe; all pipes and valves shall be opened and closed flexibly without blockage or air leakage; all connecting parts shall be firm and reliable before loading.
2. Before opening the charging port, open the exhaust valve to remove the residual air pressure in the tank.
3. When loading, turn on the switch of the level gauge in the charging bucket, and stop loading immediately when the level gauge sends out a full sound signal.
4. After loading, the cement accumulated on the edge of the loading port shall be cleaned, the feed port cover shall be covered, and the bolt shall be inserted and locked.
5. Before unloading, park the vehicle on a flat unloading site, install the unloading pipe, close the butterfly valve of the unloading pipe and the ball valve of the pressure relief pipe, open the secondary air pipe and connect the compressed air to ensure that the air compressor starts without load.
6. When pressurizing the tank, confirm that the discharge valve is closed. When the air pressure in the tank reaches the discharge pressure, slightly open the secondary air nozzle valve and then open the discharge valve, and adjust the opening of the secondary air nozzle valve to adjust the best ratio of air to cement.
7. During the unloading process, observe the pressure change of the pressure gauge. If the pressure rises suddenly and the gas hose is blocked and no more material is discharged, stop the gas supply and release the pressure gas in the pipe, and then remove the blockage.
8. During the unloading operation, the air compressor shall be in the charge of a special person, and other personnel shall not operate without authorization. The engine speed must not be changed during the pressure discharge.
9. At the end of unloading, open the vent valve to discharge the residual gas in the tank, and close all valves. There shall be no pressure in the tank while the vehicle is in motion.
10. It is not allowed to load and unload cement in the open air in rainy days. Always check and confirm that the feed inlet cover is closed tightly and that water or humid air is not allowed to enter the tank.
11. During maintenance and repair under the vehicle, the internal combustion engine shall be turned off, the hand brake shall be tightened and the wheels shall be wedged.
12. When the vehicle needs to be tested after repair, it shall be driven by qualified personnel, and the vehicle shall not carry people or goods. When it needs to be tested on the road, it shall be attached with the test license issued by the traffic management department.
13. When parking on the ramp, the reverse gear should be engaged for downhill parking, and the first gear should be engaged for uphill parking, and the tires should be plugged with triangular wedges.
