26 November, Hubei Engineering Company and Kenya Moran Cement Company signed the EPC contract for Kenya Moran Cement Clinker Plant Project. Jia Yangping, Kenya Country Chief Representative of Power Construction Corporation International Engineering Co., Ltd., attended the signing ceremony. Zeng Shaopeng, Assistant General Manager of Overseas Business Department and General Manager of East and South Africa Regional Department, and Mr Jirogo, Chairman of Kenya Moran Cement Company, signed the contract on behalf of all parties.
The project is located in Bisil Town, Kajiado County, Kenya, 200 kilometers away from the capital Nairobi, with an estimated daily output of 6000 tons of clinker and tons of cement 10000. The main work scope of the
EPC contract includes the civil and electrical installation of the substation, the construction of a total of 34 kilometers of 132 kV single-circuit transmission line, the installation, commissioning and civil construction of clinker and cement main equipment. The completion of the project will greatly reduce Kenya's dependence on imported clinker and inject strong impetus into Kenya's infrastructure construction.
Kenya Moran Cement Clinker Plant Project is another fruitful achievement of Hubei Engineering Company in the East and South Africa market after the CTTM 2X350MW coal-fired power plant project in Mozambique.
