CNBM: Latest Progress of Projects in Vietnam, Nigeria and Argentina

   Recently, two 6000-ton clinker cement production lines in Ibese, Nigeria, contracted by Sinoma International (Nanjing), a subsidiary of China Building Materials Group, have obtained FAC certificates issued by the owner.

   Ibese project is the first project of Sinoma International (Nanjing) to enter the African market, and also the first project to cooperate with Dangote Group. It is a project to build two clinker cement production lines with a daily output of 6000 tons in a new area. Everything starts from scratch, and the difficulties can be imagined. The company's project team has overcome various difficulties such as chaotic local public order, high incidence of Malaria and long rainy season, solved a series of technical problems such as high-moisture sticky materials and no design of raw material batching station, and finally successfully completed the construction, commissioning and delivery of the project through the joint efforts of all parties.

   The acquisition of the FAC certificate of this project marks a successful conclusion for the first round of projects of Dangote Group, and also provides valuable experience and lays a good foundation for the subsequent cooperation projects between Sinoma International (Nanjing) and Dangote.

   Argentina ARCOAL Pozzolana Cement Project Obtained PTOC Certificate

   Recently, the ARCOAL volcanic ash cement project in Argentina, which was constructed by Tianjin Institute of China Building Materials Group, has obtained the PTOC certificate, which indicates that the performance of the equipment supplied by the project meets the contract requirements, and also indicates that the project has entered the warranty period since January 31, 2018. The successful implementation of this project has laid a good foundation for Tianjin Institute to explore and expand the new business field of volcanic ash cement, accumulated a lot of experience for the subsequent implementation of local projects, and created good conditions for market development in South America.

   This project is a cement plant renovation project signed by Tianjin Institute and Argentina CASA Company on October 4, 2016. CASA is a subsidiary of Brazil's Votorantim Cementos Group. This project is the first project implemented by Tianjin Institute in the form of EP in Argentina, mainly responsible for design, DAP delivery and technical services. After the transformation, the cement mill adopts a new type of powder concentrator independently developed by Tianjin Institute, which improves the production capacity and the fineness of cement products, achieves the effect of increasing production and efficiency, and provides real and reliable first-hand information for the feasibility of using the powder concentrator in the new field.

   During the implementation of the project, the project team, with the close cooperation of the relevant departments of the company, worked hard and United in good faith to creatively transform the unfavorable factors of the time difference with the owner into favorable factors, so that the milestones of the project were ahead of the contract schedule requirements. The professional technical service, sincere cooperation attitude and high professionalism of the project team have been fully affirmed and highly praised by the owners.

   Successful signing of Saint-Gobain Vietnam Fiber Cement Board Production Line EP contract

   On April 20, Wuhan Building Material Industry Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd., affiliated to China Building Material Group, and Vietnam Xiefu Company, affiliated to Saint-Gobain Group of France, signed an EP contract for the production line No.4 of fiber cement board with an annual output of 5 million square meters in Ho Chi Minh City.

   Robin, General Manager of Saint-Gobain Group Vietnam, attended the ceremony, and Bai Ning, member of the Party Committee of Wuhan Institute and Vice General Manager of New Material Business Department, and Nguyen Truong Hai, General Manager of Vietnam Xiefu Company, signed the contract on behalf of both sides.

   In his speech, the Nguyen Truong Hai thanked the staff of Wuhan Institute for their hard work and efforts, fully affirmed the advanced technology and professional level of Wuhan Institute, and was confident of the successful completion of production line 4. Bai Ning expressed his gratitude to Saint-Gobain for its trust and support to Wuhan Institute, which will give full play to its advantages in technology, equipment and engineering management, and successfully complete the project construction on time and in good quality. Both sides hope to deepen multi-level exchanges, expand deep-seated cooperation and contribute to deepening the friendship between China, France and Vietnam.

   Vietnam Xiefu No.4 production line is the fourth cooperation between Wuhan Institute and Saint-Gobain after the successful implementation of No.1, No.2 and No.3 production lines. The No.1 and No.2 production lines were successfully put into operation in 2011 and 2016 respectively. In the past few years, the equipment has been working steadily and the product quality is excellent. Production Line 3 was signed in August 2017 and is currently under construction in full swing. In recent years, Wuhan Institute has actively implemented the "the Belt and Road" initiative, adhered to the "going out" development strategy, adhered to the international road, actively promoted international capacity and equipment manufacturing cooperation, and gradually realized the integration of market, team, technology, management and international standards. This cooperation will play a positive role in expanding the overseas market and accelerating the international development of Wuhan Institute.
