MOSCOW, Nov. 2 (Sputnik News Agency)-Russian European Cement Group (Eurocement) announced that the group will build a dry cement production plant in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, and Chinese contractors will be responsible for the construction of the plant.

   Galichev, chairman of the board of directors of European Cement, and Zaripov, chairman of the Uzbek Building Materials Company (Uzbek Building Materials Company), signed the project implementation agreement. Beijing Triumph Building Materials Engineering Co., Ltd. is the contractor. According to the announcement, the total value of the contract is 160 million US dollars.

   The contract stipulates that the contractor is responsible for the design, construction, equipment supply, production and installation, as well as personnel training. The project will be completed by 2020.

   According to the announcement, it is necessary to build a new plant based on the fact that 100% of the company's production capacity has been utilized, but the demand of Uzbekistan and neighboring countries is growing.

   The new plant should be the largest cement plant in Central Asia.
