On the same day, Dantomi Cement Plant held an ignition ceremony in Mandalay Province, Myanmar, to celebrate the production of the second line of the clinker cement production line with a daily output of 5000 tons . Soe Myint Maung, Governor of Mandalay Province, thanked the enterprises for their contributions to the local people at the ignition ceremony.
Xie Guoxiang, Counsellor of the Economic and Commercial Office of the Chinese Embassy in Myanmar, said that the operation of the first production line had achieved good economic and social benefits, and the operation of the second production line marked a new era of development for the Sino-Myanmar joint venture.
Wang Zongying, Consul General of China in Mandalay, encouraged the enterprise to further promote the double harvest of economic and social benefits and write a new chapter for Myanmar's economic and social development and the traditional friendship between the two countries.
Dantomi Cement Plant is a joint venture between Myanmar Dantomi Co., Ltd. and Yunnan Jiansheng Investment Co., Ltd. with a total investment of 2.5 billion yuan. The frontline has recruited more than 400 local workers, which has significantly promoted employment and effectively stimulated local consumption. After the start-up of the second line, the daily output of Dantomi Cement Plant will rise to 10000 tons. The third line is scheduled to start construction within next year.
