Recently, the Economic and Credit Commission of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and the Environmental Protection Department jointly issued the Notice on Peak-Staggered Production of Cement Enterprises in the Heating Season of 2017-2018.
The circular pointed out that in order to earnestly implement the spirit of the Notice of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Ministry of Environmental Protection on Further Improving the Production of Cement Staggered Peak, promote energy saving and emission reduction in cement enterprises, reasonably shorten the operation time of cement clinker plants, effectively reduce excess capacity, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Ministry of Environmental Protection issued the Notice. In order to avoid the superposition of cement clinker production emissions and heating boiler emissions and reduce air pollution during the heating period, it is decided after study that cement enterprises (including those using carbide slag) in the heating season of 2017-2018 will be arranged to implement peak-shifting production, including all cement clinker production lines in the autonomous region, including clinker production lines using carbide slag to produce cement, and the kiln will be shut down for four months in the heating season.
The time schedule is from November 15, 2017 to March 15, 2018, when all cement clinker production lines are shut down. Enterprises with special circumstances can delay or stop production in advance, but they must ensure that they stop production for four months.
