As of August 24, the first anniversary of the opening of the Waya Railway, Huaxinya Bay Company used the railway to export 4000 tons of cement to Uzbekistan this month, which not only took a short time, but also cost only one fifth of the transportation cost per ton, laying the foundation for expanding the export volume of cement.
Waya Railway is the railway from Wahdat to Yawan in central Tajikistan, with a total length of about 48.65 kilometers. It is the first railway built by Chinese-funded enterprises in Central Asia. Because there are many bridges and tunnels, all of them are built with Huaxin Cement . The railway will not only make the middle and southern sections of Tajikistan's domestic railway interconnected for the first time, but also become a hub connecting China-Tajikistan-Afghanistan-Iran international railway transportation, further promoting the construction of the "the Belt and Road" and accelerating the interconnection between China and Central Asia.
The use of Waya Railway to export cement to Uzbekistan not only takes a short time, but also greatly reduces the transportation cost per ton compared with automobile transportation, which further improves the market competitiveness of Huaxin Cement.
