On July 19, the International Capacity Cooperation Promotion Conference of Hebei Province was held in Kaduna State, Nigeria. Governor of Kaduna State Errufai, Vice Governor of Hebei Province Wang Xiaodong, General Manager of China-Turkey Group Co., Ltd. Zhao Dianlong, as well as representatives of Chinese and Nepalese officials and entrepreneurs, and hundreds of people attended the promotion meeting. Vice Governor of Wang Xiaodong and Governor Errufai signed a letter of intent to establish friendly provinces and States. Ambassador to Nigeria Zhou Pingjian attended the event and delivered a speech.
Vice Governor of Wang Xiaodong said in his speech that Hebei has a vast territory, a large population, a solid industrial and agricultural foundation, abundant production capacity and advanced technology in steel, cement, glass, photovoltaic and other fields, and has great potential and broad prospects for international capacity cooperation. With the active support of the Chinese Embassy in Nepal, the cooperation mode of "friendly provinces, States and central enterprises" between Hebei Province and Kaduna State and China-Turkey Group is steadily advancing. Hebei will take Nigeria as the focus of cooperation with Africa and Kaduna State as the top priority of cooperation with Nigeria. The two sides should give full play to the advantages of strong economic complementarity and make joint efforts to promote practical results in capacity cooperation.
Zhao Dianlong said that China-Turkey Group is very honored to join the cooperation of "friendly provinces, States and central enterprises", and is willing to make full use of the large amount of social resources and intangible assets accumulated in Nigeria and Kaduna over the years to create bridges and platforms for Chinese and Nepalese enterprises willing to cooperate, so that more Chinese enterprises can come out steadfastly and confidently.
Governor Errufai recalled with pleasure that during his visit to Hebei in May this year, he had in-depth exchanges with the Hebei provincial government and business circles, reached broad consensus, and expressed admiration and appreciation for the great achievements made in Hebei's economic and social development. Kaduna has superior geographical location, abundant resources and great potential for industrial and agricultural development. Strengthening production capacity cooperation with Hebei is not only in the interests of Kaduna, but also in the national interests of Nigeria. Kaduna will deepen practical cooperation with Hebei in agriculture, animal husbandry, manufacturing and other fields to promote the rapid economic and social development of the state. This promotion meeting is a good start for cooperation between the two provinces and States, and will lay a solid foundation for future cooperation between the two sides.
Ambassador Zhou said that China is willing to share its experience with Nepal and provide financial, technical and personnel support for Nepal's industrialization process to help Nepal achieve the Economic Recovery and Growth Plan (ERGP). Hebei is a traditional industrial province in China with outstanding industrial advantages. Kaduna State is rich in natural and human resources, convenient transportation, and its industrial and agricultural production ranks among the top in the country. China-Turkey Group has been deeply engaged in the Nigerian market for a long time, and has obvious advantages in the cooperation between provinces and States. It is believed that Hebei Province, Kaduna State and China-Turkey Group will continue to make new progress and achievements in the practice of "friendly provinces, States and central enterprises".
The Deputy Governor of Wang Xiaodong led a delegation to visit Nepal from July 17 to 19. In the meantime, the delegation also met with Bello, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory of Nepal, and visited the Lagos Leki Free Trade Zone.
