November 6, a general cargo ship named "THANH HUNG" "sank off the coast of Quang Nam Province in central Vietnam, carrying about 5300 tons of cement clinker .
According to reports, it is likely that the ventilation pipe of the ship failed, causing seawater to flow back into the hull, causing the port side of the ship to tilt, and eventually causing it to capsize and sink.
As for the number of crew members on board, the information from all sides is not consistent. Local sources say that there are eight crew members on board, but in fact, there may be 12 crew members on board. It is reported that seven crew members have been rescued and five others are missing, including the captain.
The ship was on its way from Cam Pha in northern Vietnam to Vung Tau.
