On June 20, a group of 7 people from the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Khammouane Province of Laos (hereinafter referred to as the "Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Khammouane Province") came to Laos Cement Industry Co., Ltd. (Hereinafter referred to as the "Cement Company") to carry out the mid-year inspection of natural and social environmental impacts.
At 9:00 a.m., the inspection team of the provincial environmental protection department arrived at the production site of the cement company, and the cement company warmly welcomed them. The two sides exchanged views on the impact of natural and social environment in the first half of 2017. The cement company reported the work related to environmental protection in the first half of the year: the cement company carried out a wide range of treatment on the environmental protection dust removal equipment, replaced the dust bag framework, the polar line and plate of the kiln head electrostatic precipitator, cleaned up the porcelain bottle and dust accumulation of the kiln tail electrostatic precipitator, updated the soft connection of the bulk cement discharge framework, and did a good job in clean transportation and afforestation.
The inspection team listened to the report of the cement company and announced the water quality test data of the cement company monitored in the early stage, and fully affirmed the environmental protection measures of the cement company.
Subsequently, the inspection team visited the cement production site and inspected the limestone mining mines and the dormitories of Chinese and Lao workers. During the inspection, the members of the inspection team were deeply impressed by the clean roads, neat trees, colorful flowers and mist-shrouded mines. They nodded and praised the environmental protection work of the cement company and praised the production site of the cement company as a garden-style factory.
Finally, the members of the inspection team visited the cultural corridor of the cement company, and the staff of the cement company introduced the general situation of the cement company's development, product production and application. Mr. Beng Ping, the leader of the inspection team, said that every time he came to the cement company for inspection, he could find new highlights and the latest achievements. He was very happy that the cement company had made new achievements and paid special attention to environmental protection to promote local economic development, and believed that the cement company would do better and better.
After the on-site inspection, the inspection team summarized the inspection situation, fully affirmed the overall environmental protection work of the cement company on the spot, and expressed that the cement company strictly implemented the local environmental protection policy of Laos, actively implemented the opinions and suggestions put forward by the relevant agencies, and promoted the environmental protection work in accordance with higher standards.
