According to the information released by the press office of the Amur State Government of Russia, the state government hopes that Chinese companies will build cement plants in the region .
The cement plant is planned to be built in the Chagoyansk limestone mining area owned by the Russian government. "The main minerals in the area are marble, limestone and high-quality clay," the press service said. According to the geological exploration assessment, half of its limestone reserves are 23 million tons and clay 5.5 million tons. The total reserves are estimated at 60 million tons.
The state government said that some large-scale construction projects in the region could serve as sales markets for new cement plants, including the Eastern Launch Site and the Lower Brea Hydropower Station. The state also plans to build the Xiazeya Hydropower Station and a methanol plant in the city of Skovorodino.
"In the short term, the annual demand for cement in the Amur region will reach 1 million tons," the source said. Factory construction projects can be included in the framework of advanced development zones and receive regional tax incentives.
