September 20, at Shanghai Pudong Airport, seven buses full of employees of Sinoma International Nigeria Project drove from Kunshan to Shanghai Pudong Airport. The orderly team showed a good mental outlook, and the airport staff raised their thumbs. In the afternoon, 275 employees took off on time on a chartered Nigerian Peace Airlines flight and arrived safely in Lagos, the capital of Nigeria, at 4 a.m. local time the next day.
This is the first time since the outbreak of the epidemic that the Group has successfully organized charter flights for its affiliated enterprises to resume work and production. In the process of applying for charter flights, we have received strong support from the Chinese Embassy in Nigeria, the SASAC, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Civil Aviation Administration and other relevant departments.
Sinoma International (Nanjing) is implementing several projects in Nigeria, such as Dangote Refinery, Okpella Cement Plant and Obajana Line 5. Since Nigeria banned entry and closed the airport in March, personnel have been unable to achieve normal replenishment and rotation, and the implementation of the project is facing difficulties. With the long-term and normalization of the epidemic, in order to ensure the smooth implementation of the project, Sinoma International (Nanjing) decided to charter flights and send personnel back to work. Under the personal guidance of the leaders of the Group, the Strategic Development Department of the Group organizes the relevant departments of the joint-stock company and Sinoma International to establish a joint working group.
Although the process of applying for charter flights is difficult due to lack of experience and time constraints, the process is complex and there are many links, but careful preparation and teamwork have achieved results. The charter flight was approved by the Civil Aviation Administration on time to ensure the scheduled flight time. At the same time, Sinoma International (Nanjing) has also set up a special support team, formulated travel plans and travel instructions, to achieve "personnel, measures, responsibilities, security" four in place, while doing a good job in epidemic prevention and control, orderly implementation of charter flights as planned. The successful completion of the
