At the invitation of SCG Group of Thailand, on May 23-25, 2017, Chairman Gao Dengbang led a group of nine people, including Vice General Manager He Chengfa of Conch Group, General Manager Wu Bin of Cement Co., Ltd., Chief Process Engineer Li yuanyi and Chief Accountant Zhou Bo, to visit SCG Group, and were warmly received by SCG Group.
On the afternoon of the 24th, in the conference room of the headquarters of SCG Group, Chairman Gao and his delegation had a discussion with Mr. Roongrote Rangsiyopas, President of SCG Group, and his company's senior management. The two sides reviewed the course of cooperation and exchanged views on further deepening cooperation.
Chairman Gao thanked SCG Group and Mr. Roongrote Rangsiyopas for their warm reception. He pointed out that both Conch Group and SCG Group are famous cement manufacturing enterprises, and the two sides have established good cooperative relations in the previous exchanges. SCG has a good development momentum in the cement and upstream and downstream industries, especially in the abundant cement terminal products and prefabricated houses, which have great development space in China and are worth learning from Conch Group. In Southeast Asia, Central Asia, Africa, America and other regions, the two sides further improve the liaison, communication and coordination mechanism and continue to promote orderly cooperation in the region.
Mr. Roongrote Rangsiyopas pointed out that SCG Group has a strong interest in China's building materials market and expects both parties to further strengthen cooperation in cement terminal product research and development, institutional settings and development plans, and establish standards around the upstream and downstream cement industry chain; Conch Group has rich experience in cement project construction and operation, and hopes to strengthen cooperation and discussion with Conch Group in other overseas projects. As always, SCG Group supports Refractory Material Company to become bigger and stronger in China.

Before the meeting, accompanied by Mr. Sawai Mutitaskul, Minister of Engineering of SCG Group, the inspection team visited the Strategic Center of Building Materials Products and Modular Housing Exhibition Cabinet of SCG Group Product Experience Hall, focusing on the understanding of cement terminal products such as SCG cement floor tiles and building tiles, and experienced the design of prefabricated housing. I was impressed by the unique materials and shapes of SCG's high-end prefabricated houses.

Founded in 1913, SCG has three core businesses: chemicals, papermaking and cement building materials, with sales of about 80 billion yuan in 2016. The cooperation between Conch Group and SCG Group started from the waste heat power generation project of KK6 kiln in January 2007, and the unit was successfully connected to the grid in February 2008. The later cooperation included the waste heat power generation project of Kawang 10,000-ton line, the general contracting project of Indonesia SB1 and Laos KCL, and the Conch Siam refractory material project.
