   Earlier, the Associated Press reported that Olsen resigned after the group's review of the Syrian cement plant, but the investigation found that Olsen was not responsible for the scandal, and even he himself did not know about the misconduct. Olson told the media when the group announced its first quarter earnings that his decision to leave had nothing to do with the Syrian scandal, but he also admitted that he was under great pressure at the company. LafargeHolcim hopes to find a suitable replacement for Olsen before the end of 2017.
