Minister of State Enterprise of Indonesia confirms that Namwang Cement Plant will be put into operation in April

   Indonesian Minister of State Enterprises Rini (Rini M Soemarno) confirmed that the Indonesian cement plant in Rembang, Central Java Province, went into operation in April this year.

   "The government has not set an exact date, but is optimistic that production will start in April this year," Lini said during a visit to the Indonesian cement plant in Namwang over the weekend. During the visit to the Indonesian cement plant, Lini was accompanied by Rizkan Chandra, general manager of Indonesia Cement, Kartika Wirjoatmodjo, general manager of Bank of Indonesia, and Achmad Baiquni, general manager of Bank of Indonesia. "I will report to the president the results of my working visit to the Indonesian cement plant and recommend to the president a solution to the problem of putting the cement plant into operation," she said. Basically, Indonesia Cement Namwang Plant has completed almost all the permits, and only the Strategic Environmental Assessment (KLHS) report is left. Even so, Lini said the factory has all the permits before it can start production, which is expected to start in April.

   The minister assured that the state enterprise factories must generate revenue for the country while providing great benefits to society. "The plant cannot operate without the support of the residents.". "The interest of the community is the interest of the government, and the interest of the government is the interest of the community," said the minister. In view of the rejection of Indonesian cement plants by about 5% of the residents, Lini commented that the government would continue to support the existence of cement plants while finding the best solution. "The government will find the best solution to the livelihood problems of the 5% of residents who refused the cement plant," she said.

   The Indonesia Cement Yanwang Plant site is surrounded by at least 5 townships, namely Tegaldowo Township, Kajar Township, Pasucen Township, Kadiwono Township and Timbrangan Township. The Indonesian Cement Company's factory is supported by most residents of the five townships and hopes that the factory will be put into operation immediately.
