The cement market in India is promising.

The Secretary-General of India Cement Association expressed his welcome to President Qiao Longde and introduced the working structure system of India Cement Association and the development of India cement market. From 2015 to 2016, the growth rate of India's cement market was 4.7%, the business income of the whole industry was 2 billion US dollars, and the fixed investment of the cement industry was 5.147 billion US dollars. Today, the construction cost of a single line in the Indian cement market is basically $130 million. The construction cost of a cement production line with a daily output of 5000 tons will reach 180 million US dollars. In the future, the Indian government will also launch a series of stimulus policies. Looking forward to the future market demand for cement.

President Qiao Longde also made an opening speech. He said that the Cement Association of India has extensive contacts and cooperation with China Building Material Federation and China Cement Association. Next, he hopes to design a memorandum of international cooperation on cement technology and equipment between China and India on the combination of Made in China and Made in India. We can cooperate in the transformation of cement production line system and single transformation of cement energy saving and emission reduction, such as desulfurization and denitrification. We also welcome the Indian Cement Association and Indian cement enterprises to visit China for technical and policy exchanges.

The co-chairmen of the Technical Committee, Energy Committee and Environmental Protection Committee of the Indian Cement Association and other important members had professional and in-depth exchanges with members of the Chinese delegation on issues such as nitrogen oxide emission reduction, cement fuel substitution, dust emission control, incentive policies of the Chinese government for energy conservation and emission reduction, packaging and transportation of cement products, and waste heat power generation of cement kilns. At the same time, the Indian side is very concerned about the preferential policies for the export of Chinese cement products and technical equipment, as well as the survival status of vertical kiln cement after its elimination and transformation in China. They pay more attention to how to reflect on the law of cement industry development after the development of China's cement industry falls into overcapacity, and use it for reference to the development of India's cement industry.

After hearing more than a dozen professional questions raised by the Indian side, President Qiao Longde responded systematically. President Qiao first said that through the questions of the relevant members of the Indian Cement Association, we can see your profession and your key points. President Qiao Longde expressed optimism about the future of the cement market in India. India's cement market has 460 million tons of production capacity, accounting for 10% of the world's total, while China's cement production capacity of 2.4 billion tons accounts for nearly 60% of the world's total. Both China and India are developing countries with a large population, which have the dependence and reference of the development path of cement industry. Today's India is actually facing many problems in the development of the cement industry. It has a striking historical similarity with the cement industry development problems faced by China in the late 1980s and early 1990s. From the experience of China's cement industry, we can see that the development of cement as a basic raw material is closely related to the economic structure of a country and the time period of its economic cycle, which also determines the future demand of the cement market. Therefore, when cement supports the demand for economic construction, it will naturally be accompanied by the vigorous take-off of economic construction, and the rapid expansion of cement production capacity. However, the development of cement will slow down appropriately in the later period to cope with the decline in market demand growth. In this process, it is necessary to effectively control the new production capacity to ensure the success of the industry and related benefits.

President Qiao Longde concluded that China's total cement output today is 2.4 billion tons, but the output will also decline year by year. At the same time, it has achieved large-scale production capacity construction, completed the short construction cycle of cement engineering, mature equipment and other technological upgrades, and achieved the world's leading level of enterprise competitive advantage and industry advantage. But at the same time, China's cement industry still has obvious defects in fuel substitution, energy saving and emission reduction, especially in nitrogen oxide emission reduction and intelligent operation level. The research and development of the second generation of new dry process cement technology and equipment is put forward in view of this bottleneck. At present, the important tasks for the development of China's cement industry include the following three aspects: first, improving the quality of cement, expanding the functions of cement, and developing special cement, such as sulphoaluminate marine cement ; Second, we should implement national policies and standards to completely eliminate low-grade cement, so that 32.5 cement will gradually withdraw from the market. Third, we should expand international capacity cooperation to lead and drive the development of the world cement industry.

The main purpose of President Qiao Longde's visit to the Indian Cement Association is to establish a long-term cooperation mechanism with the Indian Cement Association based on the long-term optimistic expectations of the Indian cement market. At the same time, in the recent work, we hope that both sides can develop their strengths and avoid their weaknesses and give full play to their respective advantages. For example, China has mature technology and equipment in cement waste heat power generation and energy saving and emission reduction. At the same time, the level of domestic technology and equipment in China has been continuously improved, which is based on the technological research reserves in the past 20 years. More importantly, China has nearly 30 years of experience and lessons from the rapid development of the cement industry and the resulting overcapacity, and hopes to share them with India. At the same time, we also want to know the future development goals of Indian cement. Because today, the development goal of China's cement industry has shifted from going all out to structural adjustment, improving quality and reducing quantity.

Subsequently, members of the delegation, Zhao Huifeng, Deputy Secretary of Sinoma International, Sun Jianan, Executive Vice President of China Building Material International Engineering, Xu Luoyi, Director of Technical Supervision Center of China Building Material Information Institute, and Wang Gang, General Manager of Jianhua Building Material Group, had in-depth exchanges on their professional fields and issues raised by the Indian side. Finally, India Cement Association hopes to clarify the following key contents in the memorandum of cooperation signed between India Cement Association and China Building Material Federation, including international capacity cooperation and water conservancy investment in India; second, how to integrate into the future plan of Indian manufacturing through the introduction of Chinese technology and equipment; Third, the technology transfer and related technical route investigation in the emission reduction of nitrogen oxides; fourth, we hope to promote the visit and study of cement production lines in China; fifth, the application and cooperation of marine cement, namely sulphoaluminate cement; sixth, how to improve the automation level of cement plants and reduce labor. Seventh, in the process of implementing the above related issues one by one, specific work promotion plans need to be formulated.

President Qiao Longde agreed with the proposal put forward by the Indian side, and proposed that Mr. Feng Liang, General Manager of Commercial Circulation Industry of China Building Materials Federation, would be the contact person of the Chinese side. It is hoped that the Indian side can designate relevant professional contacts and establish a long-term cooperation mechanism through communication between the two sides. At the same time, we also hope to maintain close feedback with the Indian Cement Association through memorandums, confidential and other relevant means. The intended cooperation between the two sides in the memorandum of cooperation should be promoted one by one and the output results should be implemented.
