Foundation of Gezhouba Cement 2500t/d Clinker Cement Production Line Project in Kazakhstan

   On October 22, the foundation laying ceremony of Gezhouba Cement's 2,500-ton-per-day clinker cement production line project in Kazakhstan was solemnly held in Xili District, Kyzylorda, Kazakhstan, where the project is located, marking a major breakthrough in Gezhouba Cement's "going out" strategy.

   Kushelbayev, governor of Kyzylorda, Kazakhstan, delivered a speech for the project. Li Ming, general manager and director of Gezhouba Cement, delivered a speech. Wang Qinghua, deputy general manager of Gezhouba Haitou Company, Li Jinqing, quality director of Gezhouba Cement, and relevant government leaders of Kyzylorda attended the ceremony.

   In his speech, Kusherbayev, Governor of Kizilorda, Kazakhstan, said:

   The project is a symbol of China-Kazakhstan friendship, which will not only promote the economic development of Xili District, but also drive the overall development of Kyzylorda. He said that Kazakhstan sincerely thanks China for its important contribution to this end, and Kazakhstan will work with China to promote new progress in a series of investment projects.

   Liming, general manager and director of Gezhouba Cement, expressed his gratitude to the state government and the residents of Xili Town for creating a good investment environment.

   Project Description:

   Kazakhstan, as an important Central Asian country along the "the Belt and Road", is rich in natural resources. The project is located in Xili Town, Xili District, Kyzylorda Oblast in the southwest of Kazakhstan, with a total planned investment of USD 178,027,800 and an annual cement design capacity of 1 million tons. The main products are general purpose cement and oil well cement, of which oil well cement will fill the gap in Kazakhstan's domestic cement market and improve the country's dependence on imports of oil well cement.

   Within the framework of China-Kazakhstan cooperation, as one of the important projects of China-Kazakhstan capacity cooperation, the successful foundation of the project marks a significant progress in the international business of Gezhouba Cement and a major breakthrough in the "going out" strategy.
