Domestic cement consumption reached 30 million tons, up 14.8% year on year. Industry experts said that the annual cement consumption is expected to reach 59 million to 60 million tons.

Le Van Toi, Minister of building materials, said that the growth of cement consumption was mainly due to the recovery of the real estate market and the start of infrastructure projects.

The price of cement products is now in a reasonable range, which is attributed to the decline in manufacturing costs of cement enterprises.

In addition, despite the pressure of China's cheap cement and domestic export difficulties, cement exports in the first half of the year still reached 8.85 million tons, up 5% year-on-year.
