For more than 400 days and nights, Zhang yuanci led a team of less than 10 people in Zambia to complete a series of preliminary work such as environmental assessment, engineering survey, land acquisition and demolition, land deeds and investment permits. Eighteen months later, a production line with an annual output of 1 million tons of cement and other building materials projects will be built one after another, and eventually a new building materials circular economy industrial park will be built, including clinker cement, commercial concrete, aggregate and machine-made sand, high-quality sintered bricks, lime, calcium silicate board and other production lines.

In 2012, the domestic cement market has already been saturated, the cement production capacity is seriously excessive, and the industry is facing a severe test. At that time, Sinoma Cement was established only 10 years ago, with a cement production capacity of only 25 million tons, and was distributed in Shaanxi, Guangdong, Hunan, Anhui and other provinces and regions. Neither regional advantages nor production capacity advantages could match the traditional "giants" in the industry.

In May 2015, at the beginning of the Zambian project, there were only two people: General Manager Zhang yuanci and Deputy General Manager Ma Junlei, a "post-60s" and a "post-70s". At that time, one of them was the deputy general manager of Sinoma Cement and the other was the general manager of the enterprise affiliated to Sinoma Cement. What made them abandon their business and come to a relatively backward country with different languages and cultures to "start a second business"?

Zhang yuanci is a diabetic patient, who has to take injections and medicines every day and eat strictly on time. However, there is no such condition for the project in Zambia. Zhang yuanci sometimes puts two boxes of biscuits and candies in his bag for a rainy day, but in most cases, these necessities are distributed to the children in the village where the project is located. He nearly fainted several times because of low blood sugar.
Gradually, there are more people in the project department, including young and energetic engineers, experienced financial personnel, translators who are proficient in language, and even full-time chefs in the project department. Zhang yuanci and Ma Junlei are no longer "two people fighting", not to mention worrying about a hot meal.
Guo Lixin, deputy general manager of the project department, was transferred from Xinjiang to Guangdong at the beginning of the establishment of Sinoma Cement, and has participated in and been responsible for the construction of two production lines in Guangdong. In 2014, Guo Lixin was selected and transferred to the Mozambique project to take charge of the preliminary work; in 2015, he was transferred from Mozambique to Zambia. Guo Lixin has hardly stayed in China for several years, and a series of problems such as his children's college entrance examination and his poor health have never stopped Guo Lixin's footsteps. Wang Weiqi, a young man born in the 1990s, was transferred directly from Beijing to Zambia less than two months after joining the Sinoma Cement Team in 2015. From lack of working experience, unfamiliarity with work flow and working environment to being in charge of the administrative operation of the project company alone and climbing and rolling on the construction site every day, Wang Weiqi only spent a few months. From a college student who is not familiar with the world to a "Zambian Tong".. Yes, it's a responsibility.
