On the morning of June 28, Myanmar Conch 5000t/d Clinker Cement Line, a BOT project jointly operated by China Anhui Conch Cement Co., Ltd., Myanmar Myint Investment Development Group Co., Ltd. and the Ministry of Industry of Myanmar, was officially put into operation. Wang Yu, Consul General of China in Mandalay, U Khin Maung Cho, Minister of Industry of Myanmar, Dr. Thant Myint, Minister of Ministry of Commerce of Myanmar, and heads of relevant departments of the Mandalay Provincial Government attended the opening ceremony.
Myanmar Conch signed the BOT agreement on November 13, 2014, and obtained the investment license in Myanmar on February 14, 2015. It took 14 months to complete the project, creating a new success in the construction of Myanmar's cement industry. The completion of Myanmar Conch Cement will drive the rapid development of Myanmar cement industry, train more Myanmar cement industry workers, promote the employment of local residents, and stimulate local economic growth.
