On March 22, Nepalese Prime Minister Oli, who is visiting China for the first time, cordially met with Zhang Xiaohua, General Manager of Red Lion Group in Beijing. Deputy Prime Minister of Nepal, Minister of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Minister of Finance, Minister of Ministry of Commerce, Minister of Education, Chairman of the Investment Commission, Secretary-General of the Government, and Lai Weipeng, Regional General Manager of Nepal, attended the meeting.
Zhang Xiaohua thanked Nepalese governments at all levels for their attention and strong support to the Red Lion Hope Cement Project, and reported the progress of the project to Prime Minister Oli. Zhang Xiaohua said that Nepal has great potential for economic development and broad prospects for the cement market. Red Lion Group is very optimistic about Nepal's cement market, investing in large-scale cement projects, manufacturing cement in a low-carbon, environmentally friendly and safe way, and building the project into a modern garden-style factory with "reasonable technology, advanced equipment and first-class environmental protection" to improve Nepal's cement industry. Promote local economic development, enhance the well-being of the local people, and achieve harmony between man and nature.
Prime Minister Oli said that he welcomed Red Lion Group to invest in cement projects in Nepal and participate in Nepal's economic and social development process. The Nepalese government supports the Red Lion Hope Cement Project and will hold a special meeting to coordinate related matters. We hope to speed up the construction progress of the project, complete and put into operation as soon as possible, and make contributions to the local economic development.
Red Lion hopes that the cement project will be jointly invested by Red Lion Group and Shivan Group of Nepal, planning to build a new dry cement production line with a daily output of 6000 tons and a supporting 9 MW pure low-temperature waste heat power generation project, with a total investment of 360 million US dollars, in accordance with the requirements of intelligent manufacturing and clean production, with an annual output of 2.3 million tons of high-grade cement. The sales revenue is about 300 million US dollars, and more than 500 new jobs are directly created, which can promote the development of logistics, packaging, accessories and other related industries, indirectly increase more than 2000 jobs, and promote the faster development of the local economy.
