据《商业记录报》报道，随着1.689万亿卢比发展预算的通过，以及中巴经济走廊建设的全面铺开，观察人士估计巴水泥产业将迎来大发展。当前，巴水泥总产能约为4500万吨，随着国内市场的发展，近年来巴水泥出口比重不断下降，内销占据绝对比重，2013-14财年销量为创纪录的3428万吨（其中出口814万吨），本财年预计将再创新高，达到3600万吨。为进一步促进国内水泥产业发展，相关专家建议巴政府将水泥列入负面清单，或对伊朗进口水泥征收反倾销税。
