At 14:11 on April 25, an 8.1 magnitude earthquake occurred in Nepal, with the epicenter about 80 kilometers from Kathmandu and 100 kilometers from the mine site of the Red Lion Cement Project in Nepal . After the earthquake, the main leaders of Red Lion Group contacted Nepalese staff (Zhao Jianhui, Chen Chuan, Chen Zhen), Nepalese partners and Nepalese Embassy for the first time, but they could not get in touch. At about 5 P. m., they received an email from Nepalese partners confirming that the three Red Lions were safe. However, after the formal telephone call was connected at about 7 P. m., they learned that they were in Kathmandu and one was safe. One person was injured and one lost contact at a mine 180 kilometers from Kathmandu.
To this end, the Red Lion Group has set up a 24-hour emergency response team, which operates overnight, arranges all kinds of work, and starts emergency plans according to the changes in the situation on the spot, including inviting the partners to start a strong force to go to the mine for emergency rescue, contacting the embassy, tracking the flight situation, urgently arranging the Sichuan Regional Manager of the Sales Department to pick up the plane, Jiangyou Red Lion to send people to accompany, and contacting the hospital for surgery. The latest developments are as follows:
1. It has been confirmed that Zhao Jianhui is safe and stays in Nepal to assist in the rescue;
2. Chen Chuan was injured. He returned to Chengdu early this morning on the special plane of the Chinese government to pick up the injured. He is currently in Sichuan Orthopaedic Hospital for observation and examination, preparing for surgery. His arm is broken and his life is not in danger. However, due to the shortage of beds, he is in the process of coordination;
3. Chen Zhen, the missing person in the mine, has been found at around 9:00 a.m. and is now on the way down. At around 11:00, he has talked to Chen Zhen on the phone to confirm his safety!
A strong motherland is an important support for Chinese enterprises to "go out"! Thanks to the Nepalese partners for their full support! Ensuring the safety of personnel is the primary task of enterprises!
