据中国水泥网数据显示，2014年湖北新型干法水泥熟料产能6599.9万吨，全省熟料总产量5430.97万吨，同比下降5%。
从中国水泥网公布的2014中国水泥熟料产能百强榜来看，华新水泥以2495.5万吨熟料年产能居榜首，葛洲坝、亚东水泥分别位居第二、第三位。前5家企业产能合计5164.6万吨，占全省新型干法水泥熟料产能78.25%。

中国水泥网记者从湖北省建筑材料联合会秘书处获悉，2014年湖北省全年水泥熟料产量5431万吨，相比上年同比降低5%，低于全国水泥熟料产量增长率7.88个百分点；全年水泥产量11670万吨，同比增长3.12%。至此，湖北省结束了水泥熟料产量只增不降的局面，成为沿江8省市（不含上海）水泥熟料产量唯一下降的省份，在我国中部地区率先步入水泥工业发展“新常态”。
