In January this year, Tajikistan's Minister of Industry and New Technology said that six new cement plants would be built in the country in the next two years. By increasing domestic cement production capacity (there are currently 10 cement plants in the country), the tower is expected to transform into a cement exporter.

The largest cement plant in Tajikistan is the Sino-Tajik joint venture Huaxin Yawan Cement Co., Ltd. (With a capacity of 760,000 tons), and the second largest is the Tajik National Cement Company (with a capacity of 178,000 tons).
