According to Vietnam News Agency, Vietnam's cement export volume reached 19.5 million tons in 2014, becoming a cement exporter, an increase of 4 million tons compared with the established target. It is worth mentioning that Vietnam is still a cement importer until 2010.
Statistics from Vietnam's Ministry of Construction show that Vietnam's cement sales reached 70 million tons in 2014, exceeding the annual plan of 6 million tons. Among them, the domestic cement sales volume is 50.5 million tons, the export volume is 19.5 million tons, and the cement export volume is 796 million US dollars.
Li Wenjin, director of the Building Materials Bureau of the Ministry of Construction of Vietnam, believes that the main reason for the good trend of Vietnam's cement export activities is that several years after Vietnam joined the ranks of cement exporters, domestic enterprises have accumulated rich experience in market development and contract negotiation. Transportation services in Viet Nam are improving day by day, and domestic enterprises cooperate with each other to make cement exports more convenient and effective.
Experts in the industry believe that the increase in world cement sales has led to an increase in Vietnam's cement exports. Cement exports from China, Thailand, Indonesia and other cement exporting countries did not rise. Therefore, there are many opportunities for Vietnamese enterprises in the international market.
