[Original] Vietnam Cement Sales Increase by 16% in the First 11 Months, in Line with the Year-end Target

   According to Vietnamese news, from January to November 2014, Vietnam's cement sales increased by 16%, reaching 64.46 million tons, and the annual sales target was achieved. Among them, the domestic sales volume was 46.16 million tons, with a year-on-year increase of 8%, achieving 94% of the year's target; the export volume was 18.3 million tons, with a year-on-year increase of 43%, surpassing 22% of the year's target.

   In November 2014, Vietnam's cement sales increased by 1% year-on-year to 6.2 million tons, of which domestic sales increased by 25% year-on-year and 3% year-on-year to 4.52 million tons, while cement exports decreased by 35% year-on-year and 50% year-on-year to 1.5 million tons.

   Vietnam will also build four cement plants in Cong Thanh, Dong Lam, Thach My and Trung Son respectively, and the domestic cement production capacity is expected to increase by 7.5 million tons in 2014.
