China International Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Technology and Equipment Exhibition Fair
In recent years, Chinese enterprises have made great efforts to promote industrial energy conservation and consumption reduction, accelerate the implementation of clean production and pollution prevention, develop energy-saving and environmental protection industries, persist in promoting technological innovation, and accumulate a large number of demonstration experiences, advanced technologies and products in the fields of energy conservation, clean production and comprehensive utilization of resources.
From November 27 to 29, under the guidance of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, supported by the National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Environmental Protection, and sponsored by the China Industrial Energy Conservation and Cleaner Production Association, the 2014 International Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Technology and Equipment Exhibition Fair was held at the China International Exhibition Center (Old Pavilion) in Beijing. The theme of this exhibition is "energy saving, emission reduction and green future".

China Aviation International Beijing Company and its holding company Humboldt Company of Germany participated in the exhibition, focusing on promoting the co-disposal technology of cement kilns of Humboldt Company of Germany to domestic and foreign environmental protection counterparts. During the exhibition, a reporter from Beijing News Center of China Cement Network interviewed Zhao Gang, assistant general manager of AVIC International Beijing Company, to further understand the advanced technology of "turning waste into treasure" which can thoroughly and harmlessly treat industrial solid waste and hazardous waste.
Statistics show that the per capita annual output of garbage in China's cities is 400-500 kilograms. At present, the annual output of garbage in 688 cities in China is as high as 120 million tons, and the annual growth rate is 8%. China's garbage has accounted for more than 1/4 of the world's annual output of garbage. There are now 72 billion tons of garbage in large, medium and small cities and towns in China, covering an area of 540 million square meters, and it is still developing at an annual rate of about 30 million square meters. With the continuous growth of municipal solid waste production, the pollution to the environment is becoming more and more serious, which has become a major obstacle to the sustainable development of social economy and the construction of ecological civilization in China.
At present, there are two ways to deal with garbage in China, namely landfill and incineration. Some people unilaterally believe that landfills will not pollute the surrounding environment and endanger the health of the people as long as they are as far away from residential areas as possible and are finally covered with soil for greening and beautification. However, facts have proved that landfill not only wastes the country's precious land resources and causes air pollution, but also pollutes the soil and groundwater with solid waste and hazardous waste containing heavy metals, which will harm future generations. However, due to technical reasons, waste incineration will cause adverse consequences such as dioxins, secondary toxic waste residue and leachate sewage toxicity, which will lead to protests from the surrounding residents.

Then, for the treatment of urban and rural domestic waste, especially industrial solid waste and hazardous waste, as well as sludge containing heavy metals, landfill and incineration power generation is obviously not a good way to save energy and protect the environment. Reporters learned that after nearly 30 years of intensive research and continuous improvement, Humboldt, Germany, now has a series of mature and stable cement kiln co-disposal technology, which can use more than 100 kinds of industrial solid waste and hazardous waste as alternative fuels for cement production. Humboldt cement kiln co-processing technology has the remarkable characteristics of treating many kinds of wastes, large capacity and thorough harmlessness. In addition, the technology has many successful production and operation cases in Germany, Italy, Norway, Portugal, Russia, Romania, Latvia, Brazil, Turkey, Lebanon, Thailand, India and other countries because of its early start, maturity and reliability, high fuel substitution rate, strict standards, simple process, high flexibility and controllable temperature. It can deal with hundreds of industrial and domestic wastes, such as industrial solid waste, waste oil, chemical solvents, contaminated soil, waste tires, domestic garbage, slag and slag.

On the day of the opening ceremony, Zhao Gang also introduced the characteristics and advantages of waste co-disposal technology in Humboldt cement kilns in Germany to Li Yizhong, member of the Standing Committee of the CPPCC National Committee, deputy director of the Economic Committee, former minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and honorary president of the China Association of Industrial Energy Conservation and Cleaner Production, and answered questions of interest to leaders and guests.
