[Original] US Cement Shipments in the First Three Quarters 66.292 Million Tons

   According to preliminary statistics released by the U.S. Geological Survey on November 17, shipments of Portland cement and blended cement from the United States and Puerto Rico totaled 66.292 million tons in the first three quarters of this year, including 60.916 million tons in domestic shipments and 5.376 million tons in exports.

   Individual shipments in September were 9.006 million tons, of which domestic shipments were 8.235 million tons and exports were 770,802 tons.

   In the first three quarters, the total output of domestic clinker was 54.615 million tons, of which 6.897 million tons were in September.
