Special equipment with hidden dangers of major accidents should not be limited to fines.

Recently, a cement enterprise was fined 30000 yuan by the local authorities for using special equipment with potential major accidents. The punishment is based on Article 84 (2) of the Special Equipment Safety Law. Article

84 If, in violation of the provisions of this Law, an entity using special equipment commits any of the following acts, it shall be ordered to stop using the relevant special equipment and shall be fined not less than 30,000 yuan but not more than 300,000 yuan:

(2) Failing to conduct a comprehensive inspection and eliminate the hidden dangers of accidents when the special equipment malfunctions or abnormal conditions occur. Continue to use.

According to the provisions of Article 84, the use of special equipment with major accident hidden dangers should first be ordered to stop using the relevant special equipment and impose fines, or at least not to use it before eliminating the (major) accident hidden dangers, or more seriously, it can only be used after passing the inspection by the inspection agency.

Since the accident hidden danger identified by the competent authorities is in the major category, the problem must be a bit serious, and it may lead to major accidents if it is not stopped.
