Liaoning Taizihe Pumped Storage Power Station Lower Reservoir, Underground Powerhouse and Tailrace System Civil Works Successful Candidate Announcement

Project Overview: Liaoning Taizihe Pumped Storage Power Station is a national "14th Five-Year Plan" key implementation project, located in Benxi County and Mingshan District, Benxi City, Liaoning Province. The power station is about 45km away from Benxi City Highway and about 110km away from Shenyang City Highway. After completion, the power station will mainly serve Liaoning power grid, with installed capacity of 1800 MW (6 units in total), continuous full load hours of 6 hours, rated head of 427 m, and distance-to-height ratio of 5.96. The project construction scale is large (1) type, and the project grade is first class. The key project of

the power station is composed of the water retaining structure of the upper reservoir, the water retaining and discharging structure of the lower reservoir, the water conveyance system structure, the underground powerhouse, the main transformer tunnel, the ground switching station and its ancillary structures, and the water replenishment system. The upper reservoir is an asphalt concrete face rockfill dam with a maximum dam height of 69 m, a normal pool level of 688 m, a dead water level of 657 m, and a corresponding regulating storage capacity of 11 million m3; the lower reservoir is a concrete face rockfill dam with a maximum dam height of 73 m, a normal pool level of 251 m, a dead water level of 222 m, and a corresponding regulating storage capacity of 11.76 million m3; The total length of the water conveyance system is about 2964 m, and the layout of one pipe and three machines is adopted for the diversion and tail water. The construction period of this

project is 93 months, including 21 months of project preparation period and preparation period, 57 months of main project construction period and 15 months of project completion period.

Bidding content: including the civil works of the lower reservoir, underground powerhouse and tailrace system of Liaoning Taizihe Pumped Storage Power Station. The main scope is as follows: the lower reservoir works. Civil works such as lower reservoir inlet and outlet, tailrace service gate shaft, tailrace branch pipe, tailrace concrete bifurcation and tailrace tunnel, tailrace surge chamber, tailrace emergency gate chamber, underground powerhouse system, grounding, embedded parts and pipe laying works, ground buildings and decoration works, permanent safety monitoring civil works and other works.

Planned construction period: 69 months from the effective date of the contract to the completion and acceptance of the contract project. It shall be calculated from the commencement date specified in the notice of commencement issued by the Supervisor.
