The consortium of the Fifth Bureau of China Railway won the first place in the standard rail section (ZJWPJ-1, about 580 million yuan), and the 11th Bureau of China Railway won the first place in the broad rail section (ZJWPJ-2, about 440 million yuan). The total bid amount is about 1.020 billion yuan. The total length of the line is 304.8 kilometers, and the ratio of bridges to tunnels is as high as 39% (104.1 kilometers/29 tunnels). It is a key section of the Central Asian international transport corridor and another major advance in the construction of the Central Asian railway after China Railway Construction started bidding at the end of 2025.

[Basic information of the project] The project is located in Naryn Oblast and Jalal-Abad Oblast in the southeast of the Kyrgyz Republic. The total length of the line is 304.8 km, which is divided into two sections: ① the section from Turgat (on the border of China and Kyrgyzstan) to Makmal, with a standard gauge (1435 mm) and a length of 164.6 km; ② the section from Makmal to Jalalabad South Station, with a wide gauge (1520 mm) and a length of 140.2 km. There are 20 stations, 15.6 km/50 bridges, 104.1 km/29 tunnels, and the ratio of bridges to tunnels is as high as 39%. Markmar Reloading Station is a gauge conversion hub, which realizes the connection of standard gauge and broad gauge trains. The project covers the prefabrication, transportation and erection of simply supported T-beam, track laying of main line and station track (including ballast/ballastless), turnout laying, track bed laying, etc. The whole line is expected to be completed around 2030, when the route from Kashgar to Andijan will be about 900 kilometers shorter than existing route through Horgos.
