Xinjiang Xinye Zhundong 2.019 billion cubic meters/year coal-based natural gas project EPC general contracting recently announced the bidding results, Saiding Engineering Co., Ltd. won the bid with a quotation of about 10.937 billion yuan, beating strong rivals such as China Tianchen (11.336 billion yuan) and Hualu Engineering (11.170 billion yuan). Located in Zhundong National Coal Chemical Industry Base in Xinjiang, the project is a heavyweight project to ensure national energy security. Its annual production capacity can meet the annual gas demand of more than 10 million households, and it is innovatively equipped with hydrogen production by electrolysis of water + methanol production by carbon dioxide to realize carbon resource utilization.

Project is located in Jijihu Chemical Industrial Park, Zhundong Economic and Technological Development Zone, Xinjiang. The overall design scale is 2.019 billion cubic meters of coal-based natural gas per year. The EPC scope covers the whole process: coal preparation, heat supply, air separation and other utilities; the gasification unit includes 20 3.8m gasifiers + 1 5.0m demonstration furnace (1 furnace position is reserved); the purification unit (Rectisol, sulfur recovery, VOCs treatment); the methane synthesis unit; Water electrolysis hydrogen production plant and carbon dioxide methanol production plant (carbon resource recycling); water supply and drainage, power supply, fire protection, storage and transportation, mechanical and electrical instrument maintenance center, office building in front of the plant, living area (5 apartment buildings, complex building, restaurant, etc.) and a complete set of public auxiliary and living supporting facilities.
